Three common resistance patterns

1) “This feels fake”

Translation: your nervous system has low familiarity with the new scenario.

Response: shrink the scene. Make it believable enough to hold for 60 seconds.

2) “I missed days, so I ruined momentum”

Translation: perfectionism is trying to protect you from disappointment.

Response: resume immediately with a shorter session. Consistency is built through fast recovery, not perfect streaks.

3) “I need to feel high emotion or it does not count”

Translation: you are chasing intensity instead of stability.

Response: prioritize calm certainty over emotional peaks.

The 5-minute rescue protocol

When resistance spikes, use this exact sequence:

  1. Name the resistance neutrally: “I notice doubt.”
  2. Breathe slowly for 60 seconds.
  3. Rehearse one micro-scene for 2 minutes.
  4. State one identity line: “I follow through even when it is not dramatic.”
  5. Take one aligned action immediately.

This keeps the practice alive without forcing a perfect emotional state.
